Eligible Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing multidisciplinary team at the Augusta Campus. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative, academic-affiliated environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse pediatric population.The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for children with musculoskeletal conditions, from congenital deformities to traumatic injuries. You will work closely with pediatricians, physical therapists, and other specialists to ensure high-quality, family-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.Perform surgical interventions including fracture repair, spinal deformity correction, hip preservation, limb reconstruction, and more.Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative services.Participate in call coverage as part of the orthopedic team.Collaborate with pediatric subspecialties and multidisciplinary teams.Supervise and educate residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers (if applicable).Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice.Participate in research and academic activities (optional but encouraged).QualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical school.Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency.Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery (required).Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical license.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical practice.Benefits and IncentivesCompetitive base salary with productivity incentives.Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.Relocation assistance and signing bonus (as applicable).Paid malpractice with tail coverage.Generous CME and PTO allowances.Access to Wellstar’s extensive network of specialists and resources.Support for academic and research interests through system partnerships.About Wellstar Health System – Augusta CampusWellstar Health System is one of Georgia's largest and most integrated healthcare systems.
