Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Located on the 3rd floor, the Pediatric PCU supports a wide range of pediatric patients with complex and evolving care needs. The unit will also accommodate occasional pediatric medical-surgical overflow patients as capacity allows. The Pediatric PCU cares for chronic pediatric patients, post-operative patients requiring cardiac monitoring, and patients who need more frequent respiratory interventions.

Additionally, the unit serves as a key transition area for patients stepping down from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to medical-surgical care, ensuring continuity of care and safety during recovery. Nurse-to-patient ratios are maintained at 3:1, with the flexibility to adjust to 2:1 based on individual patient acuity and care requirements, supporting high-quality, family-centered care and optimal patient outcomes.

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
