Education
✓Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree
Qualifications
✓Demonstrated record of research in developmental biology, stem cell biology, regeneration, or related field with evidence of scholarly productivity through first- and/or senior-author publications
✓Eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor in the CSMC Professorial Series
✓Commitment to graduate education, trainee mentoring, and collaborative research
✓Successful candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in higher education, including an articulated plan for contributing to programs that increase access and success of underrepresented students and/or local communities in the sciences.
✓Successful applicants will have already created or contributed to such programs and will demonstrate evidence of a commitment to serving as a role model in mentoring others and to helping shape and expand diversity initiatives.
About the role
The Center focuses on understanding fundamental principles of development and regeneration using both animal models and human tissue, and is a central element of the growth of Guerin Children’s. Faculty within the Center will work in close partnership with the Regenerative Medicine Institute, Departments of Computational Biomedicine and Biomedical Sciences, and other relevant units on campus.
