The Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist provides essential medication management and clinical pharmacy services for patients, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. This role utilizes clinical expertise to review and verify medication orders, optimize medication therapy, monitor patient outcomes, and support pharmacy operations while promoting quality patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Pharmacy Location: Ethan Crossing of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN
Per diem, as needed. Shifts available to include regular onsite hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Per diem staff will also be expected to participate in weekday evening and weekend on-call coverage for the shifts they work.
Primary Responsibilities Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or equivalent pharmacy degree Active Indiana pharmacist license in good standing
3+ months of hospital pharmacy experience Experience working in a behavioral health setting Experience with automated dispensing cabinets Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
