The Massage Therapist provides specialized therapeutic massage and relaxation techniques to postpartum patients on KP8 as assigned. This includes family and professional caregivers and hospital personnel referred by massage program coordinator and/or other clinical team members/ colleagues. Responsibilities Provides support and comfort to patients, family members and caregivers through therapeutic massage, relaxation and self-care techniques.
Provides opportunities to teach about massage therapy and its therapeutic benefits, through hands-on work and didactic education. Participates in documenting session data specific to the massage therapy provided. Assists with regular staff self-care and chair massage sessions.
Communicates with staff regarding referrals. Maintains current knowledge of field through continued education and self-study. The salary range for the role is $27.85 - $41.77 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
