✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Possession of a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.
Certifications
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Worker and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at the time of appointment.
✓Trauma education related to field of practice are required within six (6) months of employment.
Critical Care Course (CCRN) preferred, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
Education
✓Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. While not required, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.
Qualifications
✓PER DIEM NURSE
✓One (1) year of progressively responsible professional nursing work experience in an intensive care setting where the employee independently provided nursing care to patients. Such experience must have been gained within the last two (2) years.
✓ALL CIVIL SERVICE JOB VACANCIES WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF TEN (10) CALENDAR DAYS
✓Applicants must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligle under the federal law for unrestricted employment and at the time of appointment intend to reside in the State of Hawaii during the course of employment with the Hawaii Health Systems Corp
✓VETERAN’S PREFERENCE: If you are claiming Veteran’s Preference, you must submit a copy of your DD214 and/or other substantiating documents specifying the periods of your service.
