Licensure
✓Current License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to Practice as a Registered Nurse, and meets the requirements as specified in the Nursing Administration Policies.
Certifications
✓Current BLS, ACLS and USGIV certification at hire.
✓PICC &CPI within 12 months of hire.
✓Current USGIV/PICC Certification
✓Must be open to nights and weekends
✓Competency in Ultrasound Guided IV and Midline IV placement
Preferences will be given to applicants who document the following: preferred
Education
✓Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and meets the requirements as specified in the Nursing Administration Policies.
Qualifications
✓Registered Nurse with a minimum of two (2) years documented Critical Care nursing experience within the past 5 years
✓Knowledge of advance practice IV therapy, and Critical Care medication administration
✓Demonstrated knowledge of PICC line and central line placement and criteria
✓Advance practice IV therapy, and Critical Care medicine
✓patient requiring IV placement and treatment
✓Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation (SBAR) communication methods/techniques
✓nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and coordination of patient care)
✓anatomy and physiology
✓standards of care
✓disease process
✓medical equipment
✓patient care plan development
✓patient evaluation and assessment techniques
✓body mechanics used with ambulating, transferring and repositioning patients
✓how to use general office equipment including, but not limited to: facsimiles, copiers, telephones and computers
