About the role

Supports the mission of the Pharmacy Department by ensuring that the right patient receives the right medication in a safe and timely manner under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

What you’ll do
Uses related computer softwareUses related computer software and gains experience in the interpretation, verification, order entry, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical supplies
May also be involvedMay also be involved in the dissemination of drug information
Counsels patients on prescriptionCounsels patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications and devices
Fills and delivers medicationsFills and delivers medications requested by nursing units and, as needed, for automatic dispensing cabinets, after a complete check by a Pharmacist
