Day Shift Description: Position Purpose At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre & Post Surgery Unit delivers patient care to support the Main PACU, Main Operating Room, and Ambulatory Surgery suites. This includes preparing patients for surgery, providing education, and following universal protocol. The RN also provides Phase 2 assessment, teaching, and discharge instructions.
Deliver care in a fast-paced unit focused on pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery. Educate patients, follow universal protocols, and ensure safe discharge with proper instructions.
Required : Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required. Valid RN license in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an Inpatient Acute Setting, and telemetry or step-down experience is strongly encouraged.
Preferred: BLS/CPR and ACLS certification (support available post-hire). Position Highlights and Benefits Full-Time – 32 hours/week – Day Shift. Monday thru Friday, no weekend or holiday commitment.
Unit hours are 5:30 am to 6:30 pm. Variable start times, ranging from 5:30 am, 8:30 am, or 9:30 am, depending on assignment to pre- or post-operative teams. Participation on both pre- and post-operative teams is required.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly Staff RN position;
$36.15 – $59.95/hour Pay is based on working RN experience only. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The
