You’ll need
Licensure
✓Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
✓Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.
✓Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) required.
Certifications
✓Must be a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) or registered technologist (RT(N)) or certification or registry eligible with a B.S. or B.A. preferred.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA)
✓BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for
✓Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from the NMTCB or Registered Technologist (RT (N)) from ARRT with a B.S. or B.A. preferred.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Education
✓Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
Qualifications
✓Work Experience: At least two years of modality specific experience required.
✓SKILL SETS: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
Should have acquired skills from CAHEA approved program and preferably, one or two years’ experience in a similar position. preferred
About the role
Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation. Prepares and administers radioactive chemical compounds known as radiopharmaceuticals. Knowledgeable in IV placement to avoid extravasations of radiopharmaceuticals.
