Licensure
✓Pharmacy Technician Certification (Washington) required at hire
Education
✓Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program, or equivalent, in order to obtain Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Certification is required by date of hire/transfer.
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program. preferred
Qualifications
✓Ability to use available resources and tools efficiently and effectively.
✓Knowledge of Pharmacy law and its standards of practice.
✓Skill in compounding extemporaneous entities.
✓Ability to identify specified issues and bring to attention of pharmacist.
✓Problem-solving skills to work with patients and other health care providers.
✓Verbal and written communication skills.
✓Customer service skills.
✓Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
✓Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, identify drug names, and have knowledge of most common uses for
✓pharmaceuticals.
✓May be required to travel to other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington locations as needed.
One (1) plus year of Pharmacy Technician experience. preferred
Two (2) plus years of IV experience. preferred
Two (2) plus years of warehouse experience. preferred
The ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, identify drug names, and have knowledge of most common uses for pharmaceuticals. preferred
