The pharmacist reviews, interprets and verifies all medication orders and prescriptions received by the pharmacy. Additionally, the pharmacists compounds and dispenses medications and supervises pharmacy technicians and interns who do the same. The pharmacist will also assist with various clinical activities including rounding, attendance at CODE/Trauma cases, reviewing Pyxis reports for cost saving interventions, and staffing the anticoagulation clinic.

Clinical Practice 7.1 Documents and completes all interventions, maintaining an adequate number each month as determined by the Director of Pharmacy. 8. Operational Excellence 8.1 Supports hospital and departmental efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation with all applicable regulatory bodies including DNV, RI DOH and ISO 9001. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school.
EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacist, with hospital experience preferred. LICENSURE BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification strongly encouraged.
