You’ll need
Licensure
✓Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the United States.
Postgraduate residency training or board certification in a pharmacy specialty. preferred
Certifications
Advanced leadership training or certification, such as Certified Pharmacy Executive (CPE). preferred
Education
✓Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 7 years of progressive pharmacy experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
✓Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
✓Demonstrated experience in budget management and operational oversight within a healthcare setting.
✓The Pharmacy Director will utilize leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team of pharmacy professionals.
✓Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for evaluating operational data, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
✓Strong organizational skills enable the director to oversee multiple projects, budgets, and initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
✓Collaboration and interpersonal skills are critical for working with clinical staff, administrators, and external partners to enhance patient care and pharmacy services.
✓Additionally, proficiency with technology and pharmacy informatics supports the integration of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
Experience working in a hospital, health system, or large multi-site pharmacy environment. preferred
Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic health records (EHR). preferred
Strong background in clinical pharmacy services and medication safety programs. preferred
