Under the supervision of a pharmacist the pharmacy intern learns the basic operational and clinical skills required to be a pharmacist. The pharmacy intern performs pharmacy-related functions in order to ensure the safe and effective use of medications within UVA Medical Center. Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy distributive services.
Maintains compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Engages in professional self-development. In addition to the above

Actively enrolled in a School of Pharmacy
No experience required; hospital experience preferred
Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist Intern in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Board of Pharmacy required PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
The pay range for this role is $20.48 - $20.48 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
