✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) or Pharmcy Intern within the State of Oregon.
Certifications
✓Proficient in math calculations to computed dose and volume of additives.
✓Recognizes the different medication (IV/IM) mixing parameters for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
✓Functions as a cooperative, flexible team member in a positive manner.
Current National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT). preferred
Education
Graduate from an accredited technician training program strongly preferred.
Qualifications
✓Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration professionalism, listening, body language, and respect for customers diverse ethnic and/or cultural backgrounds.
✓Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
✓Demonstrates excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
✓PC, pharmacy computer and keyboarding skills required.
✓Excellent customer service and phone skills.
✓Presents a professional appearance and interpersonal skills that makes a good first impression.
✓Ability to multitask and work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
✓Demonstrates knowledge of the Pyxis system.
✓Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique.
✓Demonstrates ability to review and collate data.
Three (3) years IV admixture experience, including chemotherapy, and one (1) year unit dose experience. preferred
Acute care hospital experience. preferred
