Licensure
✓Maintains current unrestricted Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure.
✓Holds and maintains current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or has a minimum of one-year licensed pharmacy technician work experience, sits for National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) exam within first 6 months of hire, and achieves and maintains National Pharmacy
✓Upon achieving CPhT certification, immediately obtains Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure.
Education
✓High school graduate or equivalent required.
One to two years of college preferred.
Qualifications
✓Possesses basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
✓Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
✓Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex healthcare environment. preferred
Familiarity with purchasing and inter-dependent software information systems and can navigate appropriately (e.g., RxStrategies, PeopleSoft, PharmNotes, ConsortiEX), preferred.
