✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Participate in the training of new employees Fill, prepare, and deliver medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
✓Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
✓Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (ExCPT) required.
✓State Registration and/or evidence of renewal is required for both Pharmacists and Technicians fifteen days prior to expiration and Technicians are required to be either certified through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or be actively enrolled
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
✓4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of employment required Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
✓Considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships
✓strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
✓Basic technology skills.
✓Other duties as outline in UVA Health Northern VA Culpeper and facility specific policies and procedures.
✓Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
✓Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
✓Communication: Ensures timely and consistent communication.
✓@Ensures timely responses to service line requests and inquiries.
✓Greets and assists visitors to the department.
✓Answers all incoming telephone calls and provides accurate information as needed.
