Pharmacy Tech Lead – OP Pharmacy – Memorial-MSOB

• Coordination of the technical drug distribution functions and activities of the pharmacy department. Coordination of technicians scheduling and assignments for the pharmacy department. Coordination of training and competencies for technicians and technician students. Responsibilities
• Coordinates and supervises daily activities of technicians (schedules, assignments, monitoring).
• Supports inventory management controls.
• Responsible for assisting with the department's outdated drug process. Staffing as a technician (working supervisor) and project assignments.
• Active participation in development and assessment of performance planners.
• Implementation of new programs and services.
• Training, teaching and recertification of key technical processes.
• Develop positive customer service and co-worker relations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients. • Formalized Training (Required)

3 Years documented pharmacy operations or Related Field experience; with 1 year (within past 24 months) inpatient hospital • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• 3 Years documented pharmacy operations or Related Field experience; with 1 year (within past 24 months) inpatient hospital Credentials
• Pharmacy Tech, Nat'l Cert (Required)
• Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (Required) Work
