Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will function as a trainee and gain knowledge in packaging, preparing and distributing medications, inventory control, customer service and maintaining pharmacy records.
After 12 months, you will have successfully completed and received a diploma in Pharmacy Technology from the Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology Program. A caregiver in this position works a 16-week program from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays required.
This role pays $17/hour. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Prepare medications (selection, labeling, repackaging, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding). Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations.
Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies. Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities, and training in an accurate and timely manner.
Attend and actively participate in team huddles and meetings. Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks. Maintain good standing in the Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology Program per the student handbook.
