About the role

Prepares and packages medications (oral and intravenous) for delivery to automated medication dispensing systems and/or designated medication areas using manual or automated packaging methods.

What you’ll do
Retrieves, counts, measures, andRetrieves, counts, measures, and compounds drugs (sterile and non-sterile) under the direction of the Pharmacist using barcode technology
Has a working knowledgeHas a working knowledge of the functionality of all equipment and technology in the department
Accurately fills automated medicationAccurately fills automated medication dispensing systems
Matches medication to dispensingMatches medication to dispensing labels and selects appropriate components for dispensed product
Checks pharmacy inventory andChecks pharmacy inventory and automated medication dispensing system stock for outdated and unused items
