✓Pharmacy Tech I: Must be registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within the first 180 days.
✓Pharmacy Tech II: North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
Certifications
✓Pharmacy technician level II staff must achieve and maintain certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

About the role

This individual performs, under supervision, a variety of duties in accordance to department procedures, which may be related to the procurement, preparation, distribution and storage of drugs, as well as, assisting with clinical pharmacy services according to the Pharmacy's role in ensuring safe medication use.

What you’ll do
Prepare intravenous admixtures orPrepare intravenous admixtures or other sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition)
Fill physician orders/prescriptions, medicationFill physician orders/prescriptions, medication carts, or stock requisitions
Fill daily restock requestFill daily restock request and appropriately document in the compounding software
Assist with cleaning, disinfectionAssist with cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of compounding equipment
Answer telephones and directsAnswer telephones and directs calls to appropriate personnel
