Licensure
✓Georgia pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern registration
✓Processes medication orders and dispenses medications under direct licensed pharmacist supervision to ensure safe and appropriate provision of medications to patients, fills all physician orders accurately and efficiently and obtains pharmacist check prior to all dispensing and fills all medication
Certifications
✓Maintains individual competence and develops professional practice skills, participates in required departmental training, education, and certification, completes all required orientation/training checklist(s) and modules, completes projects to develop professional skills and achieve department
Education
✓High school diploma
Enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy preferred
Qualifications
✓No experience necessary or retail experience as pharmacy technician
✓Good organizational skills and ability to learn and use computer systems
✓Proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics
Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generics preferred
Experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting preferred
