Licensure
✓Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP)is required and must be maintained.
Certifications
✓Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)) certification:
✓New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.

The Medication Assistance Program (MAP) Pharmacy Technician serves as a key member of the Ambulatory Pharmacy Team by assisting patients in obtaining access to medications through manufacturer-sponsored patient assistance programs, foundation assistance programs, and other available medication access resources.
