You’ll need
Licensure
✓Upon hire: New Mexico Pharmacy Technician - New Mexico Board of Pharmacy or
✓Upon hire: Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
Certifications
✓Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.
Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state. preferred
Education
✓H.S. Diploma or GED.
Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program. preferred
Qualifications
✓Upon hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or
Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR). preferred

About the role
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
