You’ll need
Licensure
✓PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire, or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/(NCBOP pharmacy intern license)/or FPGEE/FPGEC, required.
✓Not applicable if currently enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy with an active NCBOP pharmacy intern license, required.

Certifications
✓Certification or relevant experience
✓OR...hired as a Pharmacy Technician 1 Certified and now competently performing a second pharmacy skill as described above.
✓Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy, required.
✓A minimum of one relevant specialized certificate/certification from approved vendor such as PTCB, BPTS or NPTA (examples include but are not limited to product verification, medication history, hazardous drug management, billing/reimbursement, controlled substances diversion prevention, medication
✓This must be obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained as applicable.
✓Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures.
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
✓OR pharmacy intern enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school, required. 2 years Outpatient Oncology: Minimum of two years of experience in any setting required with one year of experience in sterile compounding (of IV and/or chemotherapy admixture) preferred, required. 2 years Specialty Pharmacy
Qualifications
✓Accurately prepare and dispense medications
✓Assist pharmacists with daily operations
✓Maintain medication inventory and records
✓Provide friendly, knowledgeable support to patients and staff
✓1 year Acute: Minimum of two pharmacy skills (examples may include medication distribution, sterile compounding, and/or medication listing activities) required.
✓Considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships
✓strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
✓Basic technology skills.
✓Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
Additional Skills (preferred): Considerable knowledge of medication names (both trade and generic) and their doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects

About the role
The PRN pharmacy technician will float to various locations within the Triad region to cover shifts as needed, primarily 1st shift, Monday - Friday
