About the role

This position performs phlebotomies and other specimen collections in physicians' offices, at draw sites, and at health fairs. This position accurately identifies patient, selects correct patient in HIS and other systems, retrieves correct lab orders, and completes collection task. This position properly collects specimens, accurately labels samples, and correctly prepares them for transport to lab.
