Phlebotomist is responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including: All Sites: Reception and Telephone duties & proficient operation laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling: receiving and processing; prep & shipping of lab specimens for at Reference Laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific Micro samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned.
A Senior Phlebotomist is responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including: All Sites: Reception and Telephone duties & proficient operation laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling: receiving and processing; prep & shipping of lab specimens for at Reference Laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific Micro samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned.
Phlebotomist Required
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire. Six (6) months direct experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program.
