the Phlebotomist Accurately and efficiently performs specimen collections and testing as defined by laboratory policy and procedure manuals.
Computer data entry and workflow monitoring.
Assesses environment to assure patient safety and determines appropriate equipment to use that meet the patient’s needs.
Maintains chain of custody for forensic collections.
Maintains HRP and pending log lists.
Organizes workflow to improve efficiency.
Answers phones, faxes reports, maintains phlebotomy inventory. Maintains a clean environment.
May drive to offsite locations for specimen collections.
