Qualifications
✓Maintains productivity level at department target.
✓Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Physical Therapy.
✓Demonstrates Skills in the following areas:
✓Therapeutic Exercise/Activity.
✓Gait training.
✓Cognitive skills.
✓Wheelchair transfers.
✓Modalities as appropriate for PT.
✓Attends and provides continuing education inservices.
✓Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes. Regulation:
✓Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
✓Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statutes.
✓Demonstrate competency in assessment and treatment of the following areas where applicable: * Neonates/Infants * Pediatrics * Adolescents * Adults * Geriatrics
✓Participate in Clinical Ladder program as applicable
✓Must plan, organize, and implement patient treatment
✓Must coordinate patient treatment schedule with other PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, and rehab technicians
✓Must participate in PI projects, committees, and teams and report as appropriate
✓Establish and revise new and existing treatment protocols, policies and procedures
✓Interact with team members, physicians, nursing personnel, social workers, payers, and other medical staff in person, by phone, and/or written communication
✓Extensive contact with patients and visitors both in person and by phone
