Physical Therapist (Full Time) Rehab Services-7090

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Physical Therapist . Under the supervision of the Department Leader, or designee, and indirectly to all referring physicians regarding the patients assigned to them.

The staff PT is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering physical therapy treatments/ modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician. The staff PT administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability, assisting patients to reach their maximum performance and level of function, while teaching the patient how to live within the limits of their capabilities.

The staff therapist coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (PTA’s, rehabilitation techs, etc.) The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department: maintains performance improvement activities within the department, participates in CQI activities, assists with monitoring budget guidelines, ensures that patient charges are accurate and completed in a timely basis, and participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
