Provides physical therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee. Essential
Deliver Direct Patient Care Consistent with the provisions of the Physical Therapy Practice Act, licensing bodies, and Kaiser Permanente HealthPlan. Provides accurate and timely documentation of services provided per State and Federal requirements and relevant medical group and health plan policies and guidelines. Participates in multidisciplinary clinics, patient care rounds, and case management conferences as requested by management.
Refers patient to appropriate medical providers when care is outside of scope of practice. May instruct patient education classes and/ or groups as requested by management. May provide department in-service as requested by management e.g., journal club presentation, regular in-service presentation.
May assists in orientation and training of employees as needed. May serve as a clinical instructor as requested by management. May provide consultation to staff.
May act as a mentor for staff. May assist in orientation and training of employees as needed. May participate in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
May be involved in the clinical competency of PT Assistants and PT Aides. May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities. Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.
Qualifications
Experience N/A Education Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent. License, Certification, Registration Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire National Provider Identifier required at hire Basic Life Support Additional
Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
