You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Board certification in neurologic physical therapy is also preferred.
Certifications
✓BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross that will remain valid for at least six months from the date of hire.
Education
✓A bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
A master’s degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
✓At least two years of clinical physical therapy experience.
✓Experience evaluating movement and developing evidence-based treatment plans for patients with complex needs.
✓Strong documentation skills and experience using an electronic health record.
✓The ability to explain clinical goals and treatment recommendations clearly to patients, families, and team members.
✓Sound clinical judgment, organization, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.
✓Experience in pediatric physical therapy, neurologic rehabilitation, or treatment of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred. De-escalation training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
