✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Physical Therapy License in the State of applicable state or South Carolina must be licensed in the state upon which you work.
✓Personal vehicles must be well maintained and in safe driving conditions.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
Education
✓Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required.
✓This aligns with current professional entry standards, as the DPT has been the recognized entry-level credential for all new graduates since 2016
✓prior bachelor’s or master’s-level degrees may be accepted only where consistent with applicable licensure requirements.
Qualifications
✓Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by applicable state professional standards.
✓Current state driver's license and auto insurance at all times.
✓Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient
1-year experience as a licensed PT in a clinical care setting or home health preferred.
Pediatric setting – 1 year pediatric experience within the past 5 years preferred or education and training may be provided by Advocate Health At Home.
