About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy. The incumbent shall perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Implement physical therapy treatmentImplement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Perform therapeutic exercises, gaitPerform therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and mobility activities
Administer modalities including ultrasoundAdminister modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, and whirlpool treatments
Assist with wound careAssist with wound care procedures while adhering to sterile technique and safety protocols
Monitor patient responses toMonitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist
