Help Patients Reclaim Their Independence Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work alongside Physical Therapists and a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, trauma, surgery, and other complex medical conditions.

Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist Assist patients with mobility, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and functional tasks Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising therapist Document patient treatments and progress accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the rehabilitation team Educate patients and families regarding therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation goals Support a patient-centered approach focused on safety, dignity, and clinical excellence
