POSITION OVERVIEW (non-exempt): Prepares patients for treatment and maintains orderliness and cleanliness of department/treatment area.
High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills. Experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to Therapy Services Manager DIRECT REPORTS: None POSITION-SPECIFIC
Assists PT or PTA in preparing treatment area and preparing patient for treatment Informs PT or PTA of any patient report of condition changes Assists PT or PTA in patient care as directed Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in department and PT treatment areas Assists with patient scheduling, data entry, patient statistical reports, surveys, daily logs, insurance information collection, faxing information as requested by therapists, collecting & distributing mail and supply ordering Checks discharged patient charts for completeness and then forwards to Health Information Attends and completes all health center and department in-services as requested by Manager Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, families, and coworkers Performs other related duties as requested or required.
