You’ll need
Licensure
✓The Physician Assistant performs these functions under the general supervision of a licensed physician in the Hunt Regional Healthcare system.
✓o Must have a current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license.
✓o Must have or be eligible to have a Texas Pharmacy and DEA License.
✓Prescribes medications under the delegation of the supervising physician, based on Texas Medical Board requirements and according to standard and published therapeutic goals then explains treatment to patients and families.
Education
✓o Graduate from an accredited school or Physician's Assistance program
Qualifications
✓The Physician Assistant works as part of the Hunt Regional provider team, performing a variety of direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation, monitoring of the general patient management plan, and chronic care.
✓Services may be performed at any of the Hunt Regional Healthcare locations.
✓o None
✓Strong critical thinking skills and exceptional ability to integrate knowledge.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
✓Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, including positive relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution, follow-through and follow-up.
✓Organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
✓Knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
✓Knowledge of community, professional, and educational resources.
✓Knowledge of practice management systems including electronic health record systems (EHRs).
✓Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff, and the public.
✓Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.
