Responsibilities Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. How will you make a difference at LBHH? Family Medicine Physicians at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital deliver quality care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care. A Family Medicine Physician are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: As available, reviews the results of prior examinations and psychiatric evaluations, tests, and treatment. Makes of confirms diagnosis of an individual’s treatment needs. Obtains comprehensive health history; perform physical examination on new admissions and document/dictate in patient record if applicable. Discusses findings of examinations and tests with the individual, his or her family, and treatment team members. Perform and/or participate in rounds of hospitalized patients, including physical assessments, interpretation of diagnostic studies, interaction with nursing staff and documentation in medical record. Qualifications Qualifications What Does LBHH Require for this Role? A valid State of Pennsylvania Medical License is required. Family Medicine required. Two years relevant clinical experience in a medical setting. Previous experience with behavioral health patients highly preferred. CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation if needed. What Happens Next?
