[Center for...escription | Word]Position SummaryWellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Urologist to join the growing team at Wellstar Pediatric Center.
This physician will provide comprehensive pediatric urologic care for infants, children, and adolescents while collaborating closely with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and primary care pediatricians. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care and has experience managing both common and complex pediatric urologic conditions. ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat a broad range of pediatric urologic conditions, including:HydronephrosisVesicoureteral refluxHypospadiasUndescended testesVoiding dysfunctionUrinary tract abnormalitiesCongenital genitourinary conditionsPerform pediatric urologic surgical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and care coordination. Collaborate with pediatric nephrology, neonatology, pediatric surgery, oncology, and primary care teams. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and long-term management.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development. Contribute to teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and other learners as applicable. QualificationsMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Urology Residency Program. Completion of an accredited Pediatric Urology Fellowship. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia. DEA certification or eligibility. Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, family-centered care.
