Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) certified through American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred
Education
✓High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
✓Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or sciences, public health or other closely related fields. preferred
Qualifications
✓Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare/office practice setting, one of which must be as a Medical Assistant. Must include 6 months at a lead or supervisor level in clinical, scheduling and/or front office operations.
Minimum of three (3) years patient care experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practice or other ambulatory care setting. preferred
Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record. preferred
