✓Acceptable certifications are: the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Physics, Therapeutic Medical Physics, or Therapeutic Radiologic Physics, American Board of Medical Physics, Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine or related certification board.
✓Must obtain certification within 5 years of date of hire.
✓If not certified, the new hire has five years from time of hire to become certified.
✓For a physicist in diagnostic radiology, acceptable certifications are: the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Physics, Diagnostic Medical Physics, or Diagnostic Radiologic Physics, American Board of Medical Physics, Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine or related certification board.
✓For a physicist in radiation oncology, acceptable certifications are: the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Physics, Therapeutic Medical Physics, or Therapeutic Radiologic Physics, American Board of Medical Physics, Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine or related certification board.
