Certifications
✓TMC Tug License required within 30 days of hire and must be renewed annually.
For water-treatment positions, Grade I or II Distribution System Operator certification and Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification are preferred.
Education
✓Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Qualifications
✓Three (3) years of related plant operation and maintenance experience; three (3) years of water-treatment experience for the water-treatment position.
✓Knowledge of facility plant operations and regulations.
✓Knowledge of treatment best practices, regulations and chemical handling.
✓Skill in monitoring and identifying issues with plant operations.
✓Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
✓Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
✓Ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication or instructions to take appropriate action.
✓Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
✓Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
✓Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
