Qualifications
✓Under general supervision, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating
✓water, gas, and drainage systems throughout hospital facilities as directed.
✓Knowledge of state plumbing codes and ordinances, plumbing techniques, pipe installation, gas lines, steam lines, and mechanical systems.
✓Ability to work with potentially hazardous tools and power equipment, such as roto rooter, drills, hammers, saws and hilt power actuated tools, safely and effectively.
✓Ability to read and follow instructions accurately, timely and effectively. Ability to read technical equipment operations manuals and blueprints.
✓Effective verbal communication skills are required to work with management, other skilled tradesmen, and various hospital staff.
✓Effective written communication skills are required to document equipment deficiencies.
