About the role

The Plumber performs plumbing installations, renovations and/or repairs throughout the Hospital and associated properties.

The Plumber performs plumbing installations, renovations and/or repairs throughout the Hospital and associated properties. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Performs plumbing assignments for facility Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing system in hospital, new installations and replaced old fixtures Studies blueprints, plumbing diagrams, etc. and installs plumbing systems and fixtures as ordered Operates and maintains any equipment in the plumbing field Performs tests to insure installations comply with safety regulations and codes Maintains PM program on plumbing system in hospital Takes lead role in emergency repairs and work crews Operates and maintains generators Works on generators and A/C chillers , maintain and tests Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively Maintains safe environment Addresses patient population-specific needs Participates in Performance Improvement activities MINIMUM

High School Graduate or equivalent PREFERRED

Trade School MINIMUM

3 to 5 years in plumbing trade. PREFERRED

Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and carpentry REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Journeyman Plumber license #LI-JH5
