Provides direct medical care to patients during transport consistent with established EMS medical protocols and guidelines. Establishes and manages advanced airways via intubation, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and/or cricothyrotomy as approved by EMS medical protocols. Manages ventilators, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), and Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) during transport.

Administers approved medications and narcotics consistent with EMS medical protocols. Infuses blood products consistent with EMS medical protocols. Performs all required procedures consistent with EMS medical protocols.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate. Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions. Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the public.

Completes and submits patient care reports (ePCR) in charting software consistent with state requirements. Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions, communicating delays and updates to dispatch, and reporting any vehicle issues to the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
