✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Be certified by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy as a Police Officer or become certified within one (1) year of employment. (Possibility of a one-year extension).
Education
✓Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, need to log in to Workday via MyApps.
✓High School Diploma / GED required.
Associates degree or higher. preferred
Qualifications
✓Be at least 21 years of age.
✓Current and valid Arkansas driver’s license.
✓Ability to communicate and maintain a good rapport with the campus population.
✓Engages in and maintains control of situations/persons through use of minimal force needed in required situations.
✓Able to pass a medical physical examination.
✓Able to pass a psychological examination.
✓Ability to walk 8 to 12 miles in an 8-to-12-hour shift.
✓Ability to climb stairwells.
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
✓A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant except as provided by law.
✓Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity.
✓The information obtained in these reports will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
