Under the supervision of the Manager, this position works independently and conducts polysomnographic testing. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices.
Key responsibilities include monitoring polygraph recordings and audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep/wake data and other physiological events. Upon hire: California Polysom Technologist License Upon hire: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or Upon hire: National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year of experience as a polysomnographic technologist; 2 years preferred.
Associate's degree in Polysomnography. Upon hire: Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)
