Overview We’re looking for skilled and compassionate Sleep Technologists and Technicians to play a vital role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders by conducting overnight studies, monitoring patients, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities Review orders, medications, medical history of pending sleep studies; assess documentation, determine parameters and communication with physician. Perform pre-test set-up of equipment, supplies, forms Perform computer calibration and patient bio-calibrations for each study Ensure confirmation calls were made Provide pre-testing instruction and demonstration to patient & assure completion of forms Perform sleep study per protocol and recognize and correct problems in a timely fashion Administer PAP and supplemental 02 as directed Clean and store equipment (PAP and answer questions once study is complete) Complete charts, score sleep study, and ensure area is cleaned Qualifications H igh School Diploma or GED certificate Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist One year of experience performing sleep studies Good English written and verbal communication skills Licensed by NYS Board of Education
