Licensure
✓R espiratory therapist licensure as required by the state in which services will be provided:
✓WV: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR ) or Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certified ( LRTC) through the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care AND One (1) year of Respiratory Therapist experience
✓PA: Respiratory Therapist through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine AND One (1) year of Respiratory Therapist experience
✓Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
✓Respiratory License .
Certifications
✓AND R espiratory Therapist must be certified in ONE of the following through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC):
✓Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
✓Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
✓Registered Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS)
✓2 . Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
Education
✓Associates Degree in an Allied Health Field, or Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program.
Qualifications
✓Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists AND 18 months Sleep Lab experience
✓Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) through American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) AND 18 months Sleep Lab experience
✓3 . ACLS Certification
✓Respiratory Therapist with 1-2 years sleep lab experience
✓Hospital patient care work experience
✓Good verbal and written skills
✓Ability to communicate appropriately with physicians, staff, and patients.
