✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Must meet eligibility requirements and successfully obtain an advanced sleep-related credential within 12 months of hire— Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
✓Completion of a sleep technology training such as an AASM A-STEP program, or STAR-designated education program within 6 months of date of hire required. *Note: Individuals who obtain the CPSGT must achieve the RPSGT credential within 6 months following CPSGT certification.
✓Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Graduation from a Co-ARC accredited Electroencephalographic (EEG) diagnostics program, a CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnography program, or other healthcare-related educational program preferred.
Qualifications
✓No experience required. A minimum of six months of experience in a healthcare or direct patient care setting is preferred.
